I saw V For Vendetta and A History of Violence recently; good movies. V For Vendetta is a 1984-ish film about a tyrannical government trying to control every aspect of society. A man who was apart of some weird experiment decides to take his revenge by running around wearing a Guy Fawlkes mask and inciting a revolution. It seems kind of odd, or stupid, or both, but it's a nice little action film. A History of Violence follows Tom Stall after he has an encounter with some burglars at a late-night restaurant. He manages to kill them, turning him into an, as the media calls it, "American Hero". However, Tom's constant exposure on television brings back his past, with old friends organized crime coming back into his life.
