My brother has finally connected to the internet. Apparently it was his built-in ethernet port causing the trouble. Luckily we had a spare PCI ethernet card sitting around, so he used that. It works fine now. But now we have another problem. Apparently we only got the basic Internet package with Max, but we actually asked for High-Speed Plus. My Dad says he's going to call them up tomorrow to fix the problem.

2:
I have beaten Half-Life: Opposing Force, one of the expansion packs to Half-Life. The ending is actually quite good (except for the end boss, which is kind of boring). You get to see the G-Man and there's a couple of things that make one wonder if Valve (the company which made the game) will take these things into account when they make the various sequels to Half-Life (Half-Life 2 already being out).
There's one thing that's for sure: an Opposing Force sequel would be great (in the source engine, of course :) ).
