There's nothing like a good Half-Life 2
And I completely mean it. There really is nothing like a good Half-Life 2. Take out 'good' because Half-Life 2 is already good and I don't need to restate it. I have payed and finally finished the entire game. To tell you the truth, there isn't a single other game like it.
It is one on it's own.
It was my favorite game of all time, and has just reaffirmed that in my mind after playing it all the way through. Nothing comes close to making Half-Life 2 look bad in any way whatsoever. And I seriously mean it.
It really is amazing. You begin as Gordon Freeman on a train just goin' to wherever (you don't really know) and you end up inside a huge, masssive citadel throwing guys all over the place with your fucked up gun. It's amazing how the game can build up from a small point of insignificance to where the entire planet (and possibly even universe) depends on you. And then, at the very end, it brings you right back to that small point of insignificance... which is you.
The ending has just left my brain and I wanting more Half-Life.
Valve's storytelling is amazing, and I think that Half-Life 2: Aftermath is going to be a very interesting extension of the game.
